SENIOR PATTERN MAKER (Apparel)

Our client, a well-established leading apparel manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior Pattern Maker to join their design and production team. The successful candidate will play a key role in translating design concepts into accurate, production-ready patterns, ensuring quality, fit, and efficiency across the range.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and grade patterns from design sketches, specifications, or existing garments
• Create and modify digital patterns using Lectra software (Modaris / Diamino)
• Conduct fittings and adjust patterns based on fit sessions and feedback
• Ensure patterns meet quality, sizing, and production standards
• Liaise with designers, garment technologists, and production teams to resolve fit and construction issues
• Maintain accurate pattern records and version control
• Optimise fabric utilisation through efficient marker making (Diamino)
• Mentor and guide junior pattern makers, where applicable

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Pattern Making, Fashion Design, or Clothing Technology
• Minimum 5 -7 years’ experience as a Pattern Maker, with at least 4+ years in a senior / lead capacity
• Proven hands-on experience with Lectra Modaris and Diamino (essential)
• Strong understanding of garment construction, grading, and fit
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet critical production deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
