Sarens is seeking an experienced and results-driven Cranes & Installation (C&I) Manager to lead the delivery of wind farm installation projects within South Africa and the broader region.

This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing crane and installation operations on site, managing installation subcontractors, driving project schedules, and ensuring the successful execution of projects to the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all crane and wind turbine installation activities on assigned projects.
• Coordinate and manage installation subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
• Drive project schedules and ensure key milestones are achieved.
• Act as the primary operational contact between clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all SHEQ requirements, company standards, and client specifications.
• Manage project resources, equipment, and site operations.
• Oversee contract execution, variations, and project reporting.
• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Proven experience in wind turbine installation projects
• Extensive experience in crane operations and heavy lifting activities
• Demonstrated experience managing installation contractors or subcontractors
• Strong project management and site execution experience
• Excellent planning, organisational and leadership skills
• Solid understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality standards
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment
• Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field
• Experience within renewable energy, EPC, or heavy construction projects
• Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
