Our client in the Bulk Materials Handling Industry is seeking a Draughtsman to join them. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of working experience producing P&ID drawings using Solid Edge. Mechanical Engineering Diploma. Randburg, Gauteng.

Job Title: Draughtsman

Geographical area: Randburg, Gauteng

The successful incumbent will be responsible for

  • Interpretation of drawing requirements without rework
  • Maintenance of drawings and documents
  • Ensuring that as-built drawings are generated as part of project closeout
  • Adhering to drawing filling method/procedures
  • Adhering to drawing numbering methods or procedures
  • Meeting drawings required timeline
  • Making sure drawings/layouts represent P&IDs and selected equipment.
  • Managing drawings change requests to avoid scope creep

Minimum qualifications and experience

  • Matric
  • Mechanical Engineering Diploma
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in similar industry preferred
  • Minimum 5 years draughting experience, preferably in Solid Edge
