Brito's Meat is looking for an experienced, highly organised and detail-oriented HR Officer to join our HR team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, efficient and professional HR administration. You'll play a key role in supporting the employee lifecycle, recruitment, industrial relations and payroll administration within our manufacturing operation.

No two days are the same, so we're looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable and thrives on keeping things organised.

  • Manage high-volume recruitment, from advertising vacancies through to onboarding new employees.
  • Coordinate interviews, conduct reference checks and prepare employment documentation.
  • Maintain employee records, contracts and personnel files to the highest standard.
  • Prepare disciplinary and grievance documentation and coordinate hearings.
  • Monitor attendance and timekeeping, ensuring appropriate action is initiated where required.
  • Capture and verify payroll information and provide payroll administration support.
  • Maintain HR trackers, reports and statutory records.
  • Coordinate training records and assist with compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Respond to employee and management queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Perform general HR administration and filing.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous HR administration experience, preferably within manufacturing, retail or FMCG.
  • A sound understanding of recruitment and Industrial Relations administration.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong administrative ability with excellent record-keeping skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Good computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

The Person We're Looking For

You're someone who naturally takes ownership of your work.

You don't wait to be reminded. You plan ahead, follow up consistently and enjoy keeping everything organised and up to date. You notice when information is missing, when paperwork hasn't been submitted or when deadlines are approaching, and you take the initiative to resolve issues before they become problems.

You're confident engaging with managers and employees at all levels, comfortable following up on outstanding information and ensuring HR processes are completed correctly. You know how to hold people accountable in a professional, respectful manner and understand the importance of consistency and fairness.

Most importantly, you enjoy administration. Whether it's maintaining employee files, updating trackers, preparing documentation or ensuring records are audit-ready, you take pride in producing work that is accurate, complete and reliable.

If you're looking for a challenging HR role where your organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to keep things running smoothly will make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
