Storage Supervisor | Self Storage Operations | Cape Town

About the Opportunity

Our client, a rapidly expanding commercial property and self-storage business, is looking to appoint an experienced Storage Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of one of their Cape Town storage facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for an operationally focused professional who enjoys customer interaction, team leadership and taking ownership of site performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the facility while delivering exceptional customer service, driving occupancy and maintaining the company's high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the daily operations of the storage facility

• Leading and supervising a small on-site team

• Driving occupancy and supporting site revenue targets

• Managing enquiries, site tours and customer conversions

• Delivering exceptional customer service throughout the customer journey

• Managing client move-ins and move-outs

• Handling debtor collections and payment follow-ups

• Coordinating contractors and maintenance activities

• Maintaining health & safety standards and compliance

• Conducting regular site inspections

• Managing procurement and supplier quotations

• Preparing operational reports and maintaining accurate records

• Ensuring facilities remain clean, secure and professionally presented

Minimum Requirements

• Matric

• 3-5 years' experience in operations, retail, hospitality, storage or property management

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience

• Strong administration and reporting skills

• Excellent communication and customer service ability

• Commercial mindset with the ability to drive operational performance

• Computer literate (MS Office)

• Driver's licence

• Reliable own vehicle

• Willingness to work across various Cape Town sites when operationally required

Advantageous

• Self-storage experience

• Commercial property experience

• OHSA knowledge

• Experience managing contractors

• Debtor management experience

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

08:00 – 17:00

Saturdays (09:00 – 12:00) will be introduced in the future.

Package

• R22,000 per month

• 18 days annual leave
