A leading global technology and engineering environment is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-performing team responsible for delivering secure, scalable, and highly available Linux platforms supporting critical business operations.

This role offers exposure to modern cloud technologies, automation, infrastructure as code, and enterprise-scale Linux environments. You will work alongside infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams in an agile environment focused on innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

  • Design, develop, and maintain Linux client platforms for office and production environments.
  • Develop and maintain Linux base images, software packages, and configuration standards.
  • Implement and maintain security, hardening, and compliance standards.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
  • Install, configure, administer, and support Linux systems across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
  • Automate deployment, configuration, and operational processes.
  • Manage Linux platform updates, patching, and lifecycle activities.
  • Support Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
  • Maintain technical documentation, knowledge articles, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, security, and application teams.
  • Participate in on-call support and scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Track and manage operational tasks and user stories within an Agile environment.
  • Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in IT Operations.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in configuration management and automation.
  • Strong experience with Linux operating systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, SUSE/SLES).
  • Strong experience with Ansible Automation and Ansible Tower.
  • Strong scripting experience using Bash, Python, Perl, or similar.
  • Experience with GitHub and GitOps methodologies.
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud technologies.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana or similar platforms.
  • Good understanding of networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, SSH, TCP/IP, and proxy configurations.

Advantageous Skills

  • RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA, SUSE, Veritas, or related certifications.
  • Experience with Veritas InfoScale or other High Availability solutions.
  • VMware and virtualization technologies.
  • Private Cloud technologies.
  • Windows Server administration.
  • Dynatrace, Grafana, and Splunk.
  • Container technologies including Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
  • ServiceNow experience.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
  • Experience working within Agile environments.
