Technical Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Install CCTV, alarm, access control, and intercom systems
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on security systems
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and technical faults
• Upgrade existing security systems to improve performance
• Ensure all installations comply with electrical and safety standards
• Collaborate with security managers, IT teams, and fellow technicians

Skills and Requirements

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Practical electrical and electronic knowledge
• Basic programming knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Customer-focused with the ability to work under pressure
• Strong time management and organisational skills

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Wireman
• Valid PSIRA Grade C registration
