Acompany based in Isando is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment while ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and company policies.

  • Conduct workplace safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Monitor compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) standards.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses and implement corrective actions.
  • Facilitate safety meetings and toolbox talks.
  • Assist in developing and implementing SHE policies and procedures.
  • Maintain SHE records, reports, and statutory documentation.
  • Coordinate emergency preparedness and evacuation procedures.
  • Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Monitor environmental compliance and waste management practices.

What You'll Do

  • Identify workplace hazards and recommend practical solutions.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and audits.
  • Lead awareness campaigns and safety training initiatives.
  • Investigate incidents and implement preventative measures.
  • Maintain SHE documentation and statutory compliance records.
  • Support environmental sustainability initiatives.
  • Assist management with SHE reporting and compliance requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Matric certificate.
  • Relevant SHE, OHS, or Safety Management qualification.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a health and safety role.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of OHS legislation and best practices.
  • Driver's license will be advantageous.
