Role Description
The Back of House Administrator is a full-time, on-site role based in Sandton, responsible for ensuring smooth operational and administrative support for Thirst Bar Services.
This role involves managing inventory and stock records, processing orders, coordinating deliveries and collections, and maintaining accurate documentation for events and bar services.
The administrator will liaise with suppliers and internal teams, track costs, update databases, and support scheduling and logistics for events.
Daily duties include preparing and updating reports, handling basic financial and invoicing tasks, assisting with compliance and health-and-safety documentation, and responding to operational queries from staff and management.
The Back of House Administrator is expected to maintain high levels of organisation, reliability, and attention to detail to support seamless event execution.
Qualifications
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, including data entry, document management, and record-keeping.
- NON NEGOTIABLE - NEED TO BILINGUAL/NATIVE IN ENGLISH AND AFRIKAANS
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, email, scheduling tools) and comfort working with inventory or POS systems.
- Basic financial skills, such as handling invoices, purchase orders, and cost tracking.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams, suppliers, and event staff.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Previous experience in hospitality, events, retail operations, or logistics is advantageous.
- Relevant qualification or certificate in administration, business, hospitality, or a related field is beneficial.
- Worked on any of the following systems or similar: Acumatica, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, and Sage Intacct.
R15 000 - R20 000 (Negotiable depending on experience)
