POSITION INFO

Are you a qualified Diesel Mechanic with experience working on double axle commercial trucks ? Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join their team in Germiston on a 3-year fixed-term contract . Key Responsibilities Diagnose, service and repair double axle trucks and trailers. Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing. Repair engines, gearboxes, differentials, brakes, suspensions and air systems. Conduct fault finding using diagnostic equipment. Carry out inspections to ensure vehicles meet roadworthy and safety standards. Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately. Respond to breakdowns and perform emergency repairs when required. Ensure all work complies with company safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Minimum Requirements Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal preferred). Minimum 5 years'' experience maintaining and repairing heavy commercial vehicles. Proven experience working on double axle trucks . Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems. Valid Code 10 or Code 14 driver''s licence will be advantageous. Ability to work independently and under pressure. Good communication and problem-solving skills.
