Supplier Accreditation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Supplier Accreditation Specialist to join our team on a temporary contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and accrediting suppliers in accordance with company standards, legislation, industry codes, and technical requirements. This role involves evaluating supplier risk, conducting technical assessments, and ensuring that only compliant suppliers are approved for inclusion on the accredited supplier register while supporting the effective management and continuous improvement of the supplier accreditation process.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct supplier accreditation assessments and evaluate supplier compliance.
- Analyse supplier applications and assess business and technical risks.
- Prepare and submit accreditation reports and recommendations for approval.
- Participate in Supplier Optimisation Forums.
- Develop and maintain accredited supplier lists.
- Monitor supplier accreditation and deselection processes.
- Maintain, review, and continuously improve supplier accreditation systems, procedures, and work instructions.
- Measure accreditation cycle times and monitor process performance.
- Perform peer reviews and quality evaluations of completed accreditations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine supplier suitability.
- Support supplier performance, development, and supplier management initiatives.
- Ensure all accredited suppliers comply with company and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or a related qualification.
- Minimum of 4 years' relevant experience in supplier accreditation, supplier quality, auditing, or a similar technical environment.
- 10 years of technical engineering experience (Mechanical/Electrical) is highly advantageous.
- Auditing experience.
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Knowledge of Safety Management Systems.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, and stakeholder engagement skills
