Faculty Freelancers
Columba Leadership Trust
The Role: Columba Leadership is looking to appoint experienced and passionate Faculty Freelancers in the Western Cape and Free State. The role is to lead a process of learning for principals, educators and learners and requires facilitation of concepts and principles in line with the Columba Programme elicitation model using both verbal and non-verbal techniques that are appropriate for the development of participants. We require experienced Facilitators for both in person (residential academies or school-based sessions) or online activities.
(Note: These are not permanent positions. Successful candidates will be issued with Independent Contractor Agreements)

Leadership Academies
- Prepare participants for Residential Academy
- Collect and prepare documentation for Residential Academy
- Participate in Residential Academy planning 2 weeks before each Residential Academy
- Facilitate Leadership Academies
- Participate in debrief sessions and share peer-to-peer feedback in an open and honest manner which will assist with future development of Team Members
- Alert Provincial Manager and National Academy Manager of significant issues with learners who require additional support
- Submit a small set of quality photos to the Programmes Team immediately post the Academy
Operational Delivery
- Deliver quality engagement as per SOPS
- Proactive troubleshooting
- Effective and intentional engagement with principals, educators and learners
Special Deliveries
- Facilitate Special Deliveries which include in person or online facilitation leadership content
Monitoring & Evaluation
- Implement Monitoring and Evaluation Plan with support from the Monitoring and Evaluation Team
- Contribute to provincial reports for funders and/or partners – identify and share positive stories and take photographs of activities
Programmes
- Assist Programmes Team by sharing impact stories
- Assist in identifying impact stories for Online Shows
- Provide constant feedback to Programme Team in respect of trends taking place in the field which will allow for innovation
- Bachelor of Psychology or a Bachelor of Education Degree or a Social Sciences Degree
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a facilitation role
- Driver's License is essential
- Superb facilitation skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Proficient in written and verbal English
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong planning, time management, co-ordination and admin skills with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to be assertive while achieving goals
- Ability to take initiative and be a team player as well as having the ability to work independently
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fluid environment
- Ability to work under pressure and display solution-driven thinking
- Honest, reliable and accountable
