Willow House Medical is a boutique healthcare practice opening in Parkmore, Sandton, dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centred care in a modern and welcoming environment. Our practice combines Family Medicine, Travel Medicine, and Aesthetic Medicine, offering patients comprehensive healthcare under one roof.

We are seeking an experienced Family General Practitioner with a passion for preventative healthcare and an interest or background in Travel Medicine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive family medicine consultations for patients of all ages.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Perform preventative health assessments and routine medical examinations.
  • Develop personalised treatment and wellness plans.
  • Conduct travel health consultations for international travellers.
  • Assess travel itineraries and provide destination-specific medical advice.
  • Administer and prescribe travel vaccinations, including Yellow Fever (where licensed).
  • Prescribe malaria prophylaxis and other travel-related medications.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant electronic medical records.
  • Collaborate with the Travel Clinic Nurse and Aesthetic Doctor to provide integrated patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain high clinical standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery).
  • Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
  • Certificate of Competence in Travel Medicine (or equivalent recognised Travel Medicine qualification). Successful completion of the SASTM/University of the Witwatersrand Travel Medicine Course is preferred, as it is required for obtaining a Yellow Fever Licence in South Africa.
  • Valid Yellow Fever Vaccination Licence (preferred).

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a General Practitioner in private practice or primary healthcare.
  • Experience in Travel Medicine is highly advantageous.
  • Experience administering travel vaccinations and providing pre-travel consultations is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of preventative healthcare and chronic disease management.

The practice retains an agreed percentage of revenue generated, with the remaining revenue paid directly to the practitioner. As your patient base and clinical services grow, so does your earning potential, providing uncapped income opportunities with no fixed ceiling on earnings.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 09:00 – 16:00
  • No weekend work required (unless mutually agreed for special clinic sessions or events).
