Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Construction Manager to oversee the successful delivery of large-scale construction projects in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-oriented professional with strong leadership capabilities, exceptional project management skills, and extensive experience within the built environment, particularly on multi-storey residential developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, update, and manage project programmes, timelines, and milestones.
  • Oversee project budgets, cost control, procurement, and scope management.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and the professional team.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and design requirements.
  • Monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across all site activities.
  • Prepare project progress reports, management reports, and contractual documentation, including EOT notifications and claims.
  • Lead site meetings and maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop site personnel while driving high performance.
  • Ensure quality assurance documentation, testing, and site records are maintained.

Minimum Requirements

  • Registered SACPCMP Pr.CM.
  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • National qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Technical Certificate or Diploma in Construction.
  • Qualification in Health, Safety & Environment Management.
  • 8–10 years' experience in the construction industry, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proven experience managing multi-storey residential construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, procurement, cost control, and financial management.
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
