SUMMARY

Our client is looking for a Pharmacy Nurse to provide professional nursing services within a pharmacy setting, including patient assessments, preventative healthcare, chronic disease management, health education, and basic clinical procedures while ensuring compliance with nursing regulations and pharmacy policies.

POSITION INFO

Requirements Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN), as required by local regulations. Current registration with the relevant Nursing Council. Primary Health Care (PHC) qualification (preferred). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Immunisation certification (preferred). 2-5 years of nursing experience. Experience in primary healthcare, retail pharmacy, or clinic environments is advantageous. Experience in chronic disease management and wellness programmes is preferred. Knowledge Primary healthcare principles. Vaccination protocols. Chronic disease management. Infection prevention and control. Medication administration. Health promotion and patient education. Medical record documentation. Occupational health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Clinical Services Conduct patient assessments and basic health screenings. Monitor and manage patients with chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, asthma). Administer prescribed medications and injections. Provide wound care and dressings. Perform health checks including, Blood pressure, Blood glucose, Cholesterol, BMI and Peak flow. Administer vaccinations according to national guidelines. Perform pregnancy testing and other approved point-of-care tests. Identify patients requiring referral to a doctor or specialist. Patient Education Educate patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices. Counsel patients on medication adherence. Promote wellness and preventative healthcare programmes. Provide smoking cessation and weight management advice. Administrative Duties Maintain accurate patient records. Ensure informed consent is obtained where required. Maintain confidentiality of patient information. Prepare clinic reports and statistics. Manage appointment schedules. Compliance Comply with nursing ethical standards and professional regulations. Maintain current nursing registration and CPD requirements. Follow pharmacy policies and standard operating procedures. Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives.
