Worldwide Experience is seeking an experienced, commercially minded General Manager to lead the next phase of our growth.

For more than 20 years, Worldwide Experience has partnered with international schools, universities and organisations to deliver life-changing educational, conservation and cultural programmes across South Africa. We're looking for a commercially minded leader who shares our passion for conservation, education and creating meaningful international experiences.

Key Requirements

• Based in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth).
• 5+ years' experience in a management role.
• Proven experience in business development and client relationship management.
• A background in sales and marketing will be highly advantageous.
• Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Strong presentation and networking abilities, with confidence engaging international clients and partners.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in tourism, educational travel, hospitality or international programme management is preferred.
• A background in, or genuine passion for, wildlife, conservation or the natural environment will be highly advantageous.
• Comfortable hosting international school groups and clients in bush environments and representing Worldwide Experience professionally in the field.
• Essential: Previous international business travel experience, a valid passport, and the flexibility to travel internationally as required.

The Role

You will oversee the day-to-day management of Worldwide Experience while driving strategic growth. Responsibilities include business development, programme planning, client and partner relationships, marketing oversight, financial performance, supplier management and leading a small, high-performing team. The role also includes representing Worldwide Experience both locally and internationally, hosting international school groups and partners in the field, and ensuring every programme delivers an exceptional educational and conservation experience.
