POSITION INFO
PROJECT COORDINATOR - QUANTITY SURVEY Education: A diploma/degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management. Experience 3 to 5 years' experience in the construction industry. Estimating construction work Tendering Project performance management and evaluation. Required Skills & Qualifications Analytical Ability: Strong math skills with acute attention to detail. Software Proficiency: Experience using tools MS Excel, or specialized estimating databases. Industry Knowledge: Understanding of construction methods, pricing standards, and local building codes. Key Responsibilities Tender Analysis: Review tenders, and project specifications to define the full scope of work. Quantity Take-offs: Calculate exact quantities for materials, labour hours, and machinery needed. Subcontractor Management: Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate quotes from vendors and trade partners. Risk & Cost Assessment: Identify potential project risks, factor in contingencies, and develop value engineering options. Bid Submission: Compile final cost breakdowns and deliver professional proposal packages before strict deadlines.
