As we continue to invest in our manufacturing facilities and expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Engineering & Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance function, engineering projects and contractor management activities.

About the Role

The Engineering & Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our manufacturing plant and engineering infrastructure.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the maintenance team, coordinate engineering projects, supervise contractors and drive preventative maintenance programmes that maximise plant uptime and equipment reliability.

The successful candidate will also play a key role in implementing engineering HSSE standards and supporting continuous improvement initiatives throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the maintenance department.
  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance programmes.
  • Coordinate breakdown maintenance and equipment repairs.
  • Plan and supervise engineering projects, installations and plant upgrades.
  • Manage engineering contractors and ensure work is completed safely and to specification.
  • Implement and enforce engineering HSSE standards, including Permit to Work, Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), Hot Work, Confined Space and Working at Heights procedures.
  • Maintain maintenance records, schedules and engineering documentation.
  • Monitor maintenance costs and assist with budgeting and supplier management.
  • Drive equipment reliability, reduce downtime and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Lead, coach and develop the maintenance team.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering.

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years' experience within a manufacturing or process industry.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or maintenance leadership role.
  • Experience managing preventative maintenance programmes.
  • Experience coordinating engineering projects.
  • Experience supervising contractors.
  • Strong understanding of engineering HSSE requirements.
  • Experience with pumps, valves, piping systems and industrial plant equipment.
  • Practical knowledge of PLC-controlled or automated manufacturing equipment.

Advantageous

  • Lubricants, chemical or process manufacturing experience.
  • Project Management qualification.
  • GCC Factories.
  • Maintenance Planning certification.
  • CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) experience.
  • Health & Safety training.
