Our client is seeking a qualified Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner to join a professional healthcare team dedicated to promoting employee health, safety, and wellbeing. This opportunity is ideal for a proactive healthcare professional with a strong understanding of occupational health legislation and preventative healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational health assessments, medical surveillance, and fitness-for-work evaluations.
  • Manage workplace health programmes and wellness initiatives.
  • Administer vaccinations and health screening programmes.
  • Maintain accurate employee medical records and confidential documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health legislation and company policies.
  • Investigate workplace incidents and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Promote health education and preventative healthcare initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Qualification in Occupational Health Nursing.
  • Registration with SASOHN will be advantageous.
  • Previous Occupational Health experience.
  • Sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and related legislation.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and report-writing skills.
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
