Our client is a proudly New Zealand-owned recruitment agency with a strong presence in Wellington and a thriving branch in Auckland. They specialise in placing outstanding talent across professional services, corporate services, government, and policy roles. The desk is genuinely warm, built on long-standing relationships, repeat business, and a reputation for doing things the right way.

We’re looking for a Senior or Principal Consultant to take ownership of this high-potential desk.

About The Role

This is not a cold-start desk. You’ll step into an established portfolio with existing client and candidate relationships ready to be nurtured and grown. Your focus will be on:

• Building and deepening connections across the Wellington and Auckland markets
• Headhunting and engaging senior professionals in professional services, corporate services, government, and policy
• Managing the full 360 recruitment cycle with a genuine consultative approach
• Delivering outstanding outcomes for both clients and candidates

You’ll thrive if you’re naturally relationship-driven, love helping people find their next great move, and get energy from making meaningful matches in the market.

About You

• Proven track record as a Senior or Principal recruiter or equivalent senior-level recruitment experience
• Strong existing networks and market knowledge, especially in the Wellington region
• Excellent at connecting, engaging, and headhunting at senior levels
• Passionate about people and recruitment as a force for good
• Collaborative, mature, and values-driven
