SUMMARY

A well-established leader in the automotive aftermarket industry, is seeking an experienced

Storeroom Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of its warehouse and storeroom.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with extensive experience in automotive parts stock control, inventory management and warehouse operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring stock accuracy, maintaining optimal inventory levels and leading a high-performing warehouse team.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the storeroom and warehouse. Oversee the receiving, storage, picking and dispatch of automotive parts. Maintain accurate minimum and maximum stock levels to ensure product availability while minimising excess inventory. Conduct cycle counts, stock takes and investigate stock variances. Ensure inventory accuracy through effective stock control processes. Supervise and manage warehouse staff and delivery drivers. Coordinate supplier deliveries and ensure timely receipt of stock. Liaise with suppliers and internal departments regarding stock replenishment and inventory requirements. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and warehouse best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). 4-6 years' experience in stock control within the automotive parts industry is essential. Previous experience managing a storeroom or warehouse in an automotive parts environment. Proven experience managing warehouse personnel and delivery drivers. Strong understanding of inventory management, stock rotation and min/max stock planning. Experience coordinating supplier deliveries and inventory replenishment. Computer literate with experience using warehouse or inventory management systems. A valid driver's licence will be advantageous. Key Competencies Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
