Logistics Coordinator - Cape Town

A position has become available for a Logistics Coordinator (Inbound & Outbound Logistics) to join our dynamic team.

We are looking for a highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about planning, coordination, efficiency, and customer service.

The role involves managing inbound deliveries, coordinating outbound shipments, liaising with suppliers, customers, warehousing teams, freight providers, and customs agents, while ensuring that goods are delivered safely, accurately, and on time. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the operational success of the business across the African continent.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound Logistics

• Coordinate and track incoming shipments and deliveries.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transport providers.
• Verify shipping documentation and resolve delivery discrepancies.
• Coordinate import and customs clearance activities.
• Ensure accurate receipt and recording of goods.

Outbound Logistics

• Plan and coordinate customer deliveries and project shipments.
• Prepare shipping and export documentation.
• Monitor deliveries and provide shipment updates.
• Work with warehouse teams to ensure timely dispatch.
• Resolve delivery and logistics-related customer queries.

Logistics Administration & Reporting

• Maintain accurate logistics records and databases.
• Monitor transport costs and logistics performance.
• Prepare logistics reports and KPI tracking.
• Support inventory control and stock management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and logistics regulations.
• Assist with process improvements and operational projects.

• Grade 12 as per the National Senior Certificate requirements (Umalusi endorsed).
• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years proven experience in an inbound and outbound logistics environment.
• Experience coordinating imports, exports, transportation, and warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of customs procedures and freight forwarding processes will be advantageous.
• Experience working with ERP systems and inventory management software.
• Strong Excel and reporting skills.
• Maritime, engineering, or telecommunications industry experience would be advantageous.

ZAR 18,500.00 to ZAR 22,500.00 based on qualifications and experience
