Position Purpose

The Home Stylist is an expert, customer-facing design consultant responsible for converting design inspiration into customised, full-room home solutions. By providing personalised one-on-one consultations, curated mood boards, and bespoke aesthetic advice, you will expand market penetration and maximise average basket value by guiding customers through our premium collections and product bundles.

Key Responsibilities

• Personalised Consultations: Lead one-on-one interior styling appointments with customers (walk-ins and bookings) to curate custom mood boards, product palettes, and space layouts.
• Commercial Solution Selling: Leverage our Good-Better-Best pricing structures to cross-sell and build comprehensive product bundles that increase average transaction value.
• Client Portfolio Management: Build, cultivate, and manage a digital client database to drive customer retention, repeat visits, and trade referral partnerships.
• Showroom Experience Integration: Collaborate with the Store Visual Merchandising team to ensure consultation hubs and lifestyle zones reflect real-time stock availability.

Requirements And Competencies

• Education: Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Decorating, or Lifestyle Architecture.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in residential interior styling, high-end furniture sales, or bespoke home consulting.
• Technical Skills: Mastery of colour theory, fabric selection, spatial layouts, and digital presentation/mood-boarding tools.
• Competencies: Strong relationship-building and networking skills, the ability to persuade and influence, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
