Position Purpose

The General Clerk (Omni-Channel) acts as the operational heartbeat of our physical availability strategy. You will be responsible for ensuring zero friction across our point-of-sale systems, executing the seamless fulfilment of online Click-and-Collect orders, processing specialised credit and cellular transactions, and managing customer repairs and returns with the highest level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Omni-Channel Order Management: Monitor, pick, scan, pack, and securely manage online orders for the store’s Click-and-Collect desk, and coordinate “Endless Aisle” customer checkouts.
• Transactional Rigor & Cash-Ups: Execute standard POS checkouts, capture manual transactions electronically within 24 hours, and balance daily shift cash-ups with zero variances.
• Credit & Cellular Vetting: Assist customers with financial applications, verifying all required legal documentation in strict compliance with the National Credit Act (NCA).
• Reverse Logistics & Repairs: Coordinate internal and external customer repair logs and vendor credits in accordance with established service level agreements (SLAs).

Requirements And Competencies

• Education: Matric (Grade 12) is an absolute requirement.
• Experience: 2–3 years of experience in a fast-paced retail cashier, financial administration, or e-commerce fulfilment environment.
• Systems & Compliance: Familiarity with modern retail POS/ERP software (SAP is advantageous) and compliance standards, including the National Credit Act (NCA), Consumer Protection Act (CPA), and Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services (FAIS).
• Behavioural Competencies: High attention to detail, ability to follow instructions and procedures, and the ability to perform effectively under operational pressure.
