You will work within the Oil and Gas industry with a specific focus on Retail fuel stations covering various aspects of asset management. You will be dedicated to a large client within the Oil and Gas industry. You will be exposed to industry best practices for asset management and reliability engineering, and have access to extensive training material, to help you be the best you can be as a specialist. Minimum Requirements

  • A Relevant Tertiary Qualification (B Eng/ BScEng Degree, B Tech Degree (Industrial/ Mechanical/ Chemical/ Electrical)).
  • A CMRP or SCPP certification is advantageous but not needed to apply.
  • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience as a Reliability engineer.
  • Experience with Retail fuel station maintenance is advantageous.
  • Extensive knowledge of asset management and reliability engineering.
  • Advanced MS Excel application and knowledge.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve the client’s asset management system using structured problem-solving methods.
  • Analyse asset performance data, failure trends, maintenance history, and reliability indicators to identify improvement priorities.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and recommendations to support improved asset performance and business processes.
  • Lead or support root cause analysis investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented to prevent repeat failures.
  • Review and optimise maintenance strategies, preventative maintenance tasks, and asset care plans in line with reliability engineering best practice.
  • Support asset performance improvement initiatives, engineering modifications, and lifecycle cost reduction opportunities.
  • Improve maintenance processes, data quality, failure coding, work order information, and CMMS reporting to support reliable decision-making.
  • Provide ad-hoc client support, technical input, training, and project support as required.
  • Engage with internal teams, contractors, OEMs, suppliers, and client stakeholders to drive practical and sustainable reliability improvements.
