About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Support Manager to lead and manage the Customer Technical Support function, ensuring the effective delivery of technical support services, project execution, customer satisfaction, and operational readiness. The successful candidate will optimise resources, manage risks, and support the lifecycle sustainment of customer-deployed systems while leading a high-performing technical support team in a customer-focused environment.

Qualifications and experience

Minimum BEng/BSc in Electronic Engineering or an equivalent university qualification.

Minimum 10 years' experience within a technical support, integrated logistics support, customer support, or systems sustainment environment.

Proven experience managing technical support teams, customer projects, and operational service delivery.

Experience in project execution, customer support operations, and technical services management.

Knowledge and experience of Electronic Warfare (EW) systems and products will be advantageous.

Key responsibilities

Lead the delivery of customer technical support services, service desk operations, field support, remote support, and spare parts fulfilment to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and operational system availability.

Manage technical support projects, resource allocation, budgets, revenue, and cost control to achieve profitable execution and business objectives.

Coordinate customer engagement, sales support, bid activities, and stakeholder communication to strengthen customer relationships and support business growth.

Implement risk management, health and safety, compliance, and operational governance processes to ensure regulatory compliance and minimise business risk.

Lead, coach, and develop the technical support team through performance management, workforce planning, succession planning, and continuous capability development to achieve operational excellence.
