Center Manager - Howick

We are looking for a hands-on, community-minded Centre Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our shopping centre in Howick. The ideal candidate is a confident relationship-builder who can manage tenants, drive foot traffic, and keep the centre safe, clean, and well-presented, while also handling basic financial administration and marketing.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants through regular check-ins and prompt resolution of issues
• Engage with shoppers via regular walkabouts and manage customer feedback
• Oversee security, fire, and safety compliance in collaboration with external service providers
• Manage cleaning staff and ensure facilities, amenities, and public areas are well maintained
• Drive the centre's marketing efforts, including social media (Facebook), website updates, and local community events
• Market vacant units to prospective tenants and conduct show-arounds
• Collaborate with tenants and landlords on promotions and initiatives to boost foot traffic and sales
• Assist with monthly financial administration, including tenant turnover figures and arrears follow-ups

• Must reside in or be based in Howick
• Own reliable transport is essential
• Previous experience in centre/property/facilities management, retail operations, or a similar customer-facing management role is advantageous
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable with basic financial administration and reporting
• Social media savvy (Facebook page management, community engagement)
• Well organised, proactive, and able to work independently

• Salary: R18,000+ per month (negotiable, based on experience)
