Role Overview

The Central Bank of Lesotho is seeking a Systems Administrator to manage and support the Bank’s Financial Markets Critical Systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering systems such as the Central Securities Depository (CSD), SWIFT, Treasury Management System (Calypso), and Bloomberg Terminal, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely to support the Department of Financial Markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for Financial Markets critical systems.
• Manage and monitor user accounts, profiles, and system access permissions.
• Perform health checks and monitor the performance of all critical systems.
• Investigate and resolve first-level system issues related to the Investor Portal, CSD, Calypso, and Bloomberg.
• Log user support requests and follow up on issue resolution.
• Configure product definitions in Calypso, Bloomberg, and CSD.
• Respond to system output queries and user requests.
• Update and maintain system static data, including holiday calendars and scheduled tasks.
• Monitor and manage daily scheduled tasks within Calypso.
• Conduct periodic reviews of user profiles and access rights.
• Gather user requirements and coordinate system change requests.
• Coordinate Financial Markets system projects, updates, and upgrades with the ICT Department.
• Provide support to Investor Portal users and respond to client enquiries.
• Ensure compliance with system rules, standards, and operational procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess one of the following:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Commerce, or Information Systems.

OR

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or an equivalent professional qualification.

Experience

• Knowledge or experience in financial markets, payment systems, or financial systems will be an added advantage.
