SUMMARY

Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for renewable energy and sustainable solutions? We are seeking ambitious and commercially focused Business Developers to join a growing renewable energy company in either Cape Town or Johannesburg North.

POSITION INFO

The Role As a Renewable Energy Business Developer, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving sales of renewable energy solutions across the commercial and industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the renewable energy market. Generate and manage a pipeline of prospective clients. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers. Present renewable energy solutions tailored to client requirements. Prepare proposals, quotations, and commercial presentations. Negotiate and close sales agreements. Monitor market trends and competitor activities. Work closely with technical and project teams to ensure successful project delivery. Minimum Requirements Proven experience in business development, sales, account management, or a related commercial role. Strong networking, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Excellent communication and presentation abilities. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach. Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel as required. Advantageous Previous experience selling solar, renewable energy, energy efficiency, battery storage, or related products and solutions. Existing network within the commercial, industrial, property, construction, or energy sectors. Knowledge of the South African renewable energy market. Qualifications A tertiary qualification would be beneficial but is not essential. Candidates from sales, business development, commercial, technical sales, or renewable energy backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
