• Administering and supporting enterprise Kafka environments
• Managing Kafka clusters, topics, brokers, and replication
• Designing secure, scalable, and highly available messaging platforms
• Implementing Kafka security including TLS/SSL, SASL, and ACLs
• Automating deployments and operational processes using DevOps tools
• Supporting Linux-based environments and troubleshooting platform issues
• Monitoring platform health, performance, and availability
• Working with engineering teams to improve reliability and operational excellence
• Supporting cloud-based Kafka deployments, preferably within Microsoft Azure
• Implementing monitoring and observability solutions

• Minimum of 6 years' experience in Systems or Platform Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years' hands on experience administering Apache Kafka.
• Experience with Confluent Platform and/or Confluent Cloud.
• Strong experience with DevOps and automation using Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Cloud experience, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of Kafka security including TLS/SSL, SASL and ACLs.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk or Azure Monitor.
• Experience working in enterprise or financial services environments will be advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

Remuneration will be determined based on the successful candidate’s experience, qualifications, and technical expertise, and will be highly competitive within the market.
