Role Description

Kumene Technologies (Pty) Ltd is seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager to lead and oversee the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of strategic projects within our operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while aligning with the Company's operational objectives.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project schedules and budgets, oversee contractors and stakeholders, identify and mitigate project risks, and ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.

The successful candidate must have a proven track record of successfully managing and executing engineering or industrial projects from inception through to completion. Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • .Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Project Management, Engineering Management, or a related Engineering qualification (essential).
  • Minimum of 6–10 years' experience in project management within an industrial, mining, processing, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
  • Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering projects from planning through to implementation and close-out.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, contractor management, and risk management.
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport (essential).
  • Willingness to be based in Brits, North West.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute assigned projects within approved scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Develop and monitor project schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Manage contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Monitor project performance and provide regular progress reports to the General Manager.
  • Resolve project challenges and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Ensure successful project commissioning, handover, and close-out.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle.
