Vacancy: Afrikaans & Life Skills (LMS) Teacher – Upper Primary (Grades 4–7)

DreamHill International School is seeking a passionate, dynamic, and dedicated Afrikaans & Life Skills (LMS) Teacher to join our growing Upper Primary team. We are looking for an educator who is committed to academic excellence, learner development, and creating an engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Afrikaans and Life Skills (LMS) to learners in Grades 4–7.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the CAPS & Cambrige Curriculum.
  • Assess learner progress and maintain accurate academic records.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into classroom instruction.
  • Prepare learners for formal and informal assessments.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, parent consultations, and extracurricular activities.
  • Maintain classroom discipline while promoting respect and positive behaviour.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and school management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed.) or an appropriate teaching qualification.
  • SACE Registration (current and valid).
  • Experience teaching Afrikaans and/or Life Skills in the Intermediate/Senior Phase (Grades 4–7).
  • Strong knowledge of the CAPS & Cambridge Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in educational technology and Microsoft Office.
  • A passion for learner success and holistic education.
