ESTIMATOR (Projects)

Our client seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Projects Estimator who will be responsible for estimating and costing all components for client projects, including analysing labour, material, and time requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Costing of Job Cards while working closely with the sales team
• Ability to work on Solidworks or AutoCad to measure up required store layouts
• Analyze labour, material, and time requirements for a project
• Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to save on cost
• Assisting the sales team create a proposal, tracking the costs of a project, understanding customer specifications, and proposing a final budget for a project
• Ensure timely completion of estimates
• Present cost analysis to upper management
• Conduct research to obtain data on labour costs, materials, and production times
• Obtain and review offers and quotes by subcontractors or vendors
• Build relationships with key vendors
• Manage bid pricing from all vendors

Must have Matric / Grade 12 with a completed Diploma / Degree in Accounting / Civil Engineering and at least 5 years of detailed costing experience. Must be able to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates, solid knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks with high level of proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
