JUNIOR TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE - Durban west - 15k (for the forst three months) 8.5 + commision and benefits there after

RS Recruitment & Training is assisting a leading crane manufacturing company, based in WESTMEAD, DURBAN to source a JUNIOR TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE. 8.5k basic for the first 3 months (probation) after 3 months 8.5k benefits + generous commission structure + fuel & cell phone .

OUR CLIENT IS SOUTHERN AFRICA’S LEADING CRANE DESIGNER AND MANUFACTURER AND ALSO OFFERS REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES.

This position offers on the job training and requires a go getter with a natural sales ability. The successful candidate is required to have their own relabel vehicle after the 3 month probation (during the probation period the successful candidate will be training and shadowing other reps, receiving 3 months on the job training before setting out to see clients on their own. This also means that the salary for those FIRST 3 MONTHS will NOT INCLUDE potential for COMMISSION). A young technically minded salesperson with access to their own vehicle would be ideal for this position due to the limited starting salary (8.5k for the first three months) but tremendous earning potential once training is concluded.

Maintaining and developing the customer base.

Generating sales leads.

Sales presentations and product demonstrations.

Negotiating contracts with potential clients.

Meeting set sales targets.

Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders.

Preparing weekly and monthly reports.

Applicants should be/have the following

Basic understanding in mechanical and electrical principles is essential.

Valid driver’s license is essential.

Own reliable vehicle is essential.

A technical or sales/ marketing qualification would be advantages but not required.

Exposure to or experience with the crane manufacturing environment would be advantages but not required.

Some kind of proven sales aptitude would be very advantages.

Remuneration

R15 000 basic for the first 3 months (probation) after 3 months 8.5k basic + benefits + generous commission structure + fuel & cell phone.
