Senior Accountant

Zuydam Konsult Inc. is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting and outsourcing team in Bellville.

Key responsibilities will include

Preparation of annual financial statements, management accounts and working papers

Review and processing of client accounting records

Monthly accounting and outsourced finance function support

VAT, PAYE and related SARS compliance support

Assisting with client queries, deadlines and accounting system matters

Working on Xero client files, including processing, reconciliations, management reports and client support

Supporting junior team members where required

Maintaining high standards of accuracy, turnaround time and client service

Working closely with managers and department heads on client portfolios

Minimum requirements

Completed SAIPA / CIMA / SAICA articles, or equivalent relevant experience

At least 3 to 5 years’ experience in an accounting firm environment

Strong technical accounting knowledge

Strong working knowledge of Xero is required

Experience with CaseWare and/or GreatSoft will be advantageous

Good understanding of SARS compliance, VAT and payroll-related matters

Ability to work independently and manage deadlines

Strong attention to detail

Professional written and verbal communication skills

Fluent in Afrikaans and English
