We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator to manage the end-to-end procurement process across our business.

This role is responsible for sourcing goods and services, managing supplier relationships, coordinating purchases and deliveries and ensuring procurement activities are completed efficiently, cost-effectively and in line with company policies.

You'll work closely with internal departments, suppliers, Finance and Operations to ensure our teams have the resources they need while identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes, reduce costs and maintain high service levels.

The ideal candidate is organised, commercially minded, enjoys building strong supplier relationships and takes ownership of delivering results in a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from purchase requests through to supplier delivery.
  • Obtain competitive quotations, compare pricing and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best value.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and approval processes.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while identifying new suppliers where required.
  • Coordinate supplier deliveries, courier collections and resolve procurement or delivery-related issues.
  • Monitor outstanding orders and proactively follow up to ensure agreed delivery timeframes are met.
  • Work closely with Operations and Warehouse teams to ensure goods are received and distributed efficiently.
  • Assist with inventory planning by monitoring stock requirements and supporting demand forecasting.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information and purchasing documentation.
  • Partner with the Finance team to resolve supplier queries, support invoice processing and ensure procurement records remain accurate.
  • Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, increase efficiencies and reduce purchasing costs.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 / Matric (required).
  • Certificate or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field is advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in procurement, purchasing or buying.
  • Proven experience sourcing quotations, managing suppliers and processing purchase orders.
  • Experience negotiating pricing and managing supplier relationships.
  • Experience within an operational, warehouse, logistics or technical environment would be advantageous.
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using ERP or procurement management systems.
