Business Development Manager

A leading international company operating in the Chemical, Petrochemical, Green Energy, and Environmental sectors is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to support market expansion and strategic growth across South Africa and surrounding countries. This role requires a commercially astute professional with strong business development experience, an engineering background, and a solid understanding of Chinese business culture.

•Research and analyze economic development plans, market trends, and industry data

•Conduct detailed competitor and customer analysis to identify growth opportunities

•Develop and implement marketing and business development strategies

•Identify, assess, and develop new business opportunities through feasibility studies

•Manage bid submissions, tenders, and contract negotiations

•Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, media, and government bodies

•Maintain an up-to-date client database and pipeline of business opportunities

•Compile monthly and annual reports on market activity and performance

•Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, or a related field

•Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing or business development, preferably within the petrochemical or related industries

•Strong understanding of marketing principles and business development strategies

•Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills
