SUMMARY

The role leads the design, development, and optimisation of enterprise data platforms, architectures, pipelines, and models, partnering Lightstonith business, product, and engineering stakeholders to transform strategic requirements into high-impact data solutions.

The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical leadership and a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset, driving the implementation of scalable, reliable, and business-aligned data capabilities that support organisational goals.

POSITION INFO

Key Responsibilities: Data Leadership & Delivery: Lead the design, development, and optimisation of data platforms, pipelines, and models. Translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality data solutions. Provide technical leadership and best practice guidance across the data function. Data Architecture & Engineering: Design and implement data architectures, integration layers, APIs, and data marts. Ensure efficient data ingestion, transformation, and integration across systems. Drive platform scalability, performance, and continuous improvement. Data Quality & Governance: Establish and maintain data quality, monitoring, and validation processes. Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and availability of critical data assets. Implement data governance standards and ensure compliance with POPIA, PAIA, and internal policies. Job Experience and Skills Required: Relevant Degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Business 10 - 15 + years experience in data-related 5 years in Data Management Experience in platforms, engineering and architecture Understanding end-to-end data lifecycle management, including retention, archiving and deletion aligned to legal and business requirements Strong understanding of modern data architecture, data platforms and integration patterns (ETL, APIs) across on-prem and cloud environments Apply now!
