My client based in Cape Town (Woodstock) is currently sourcing for a Business Analyst - Supply Chain / AI Forecasting to join them on a contract basis

Cape Town / 4 days in office / Contract

Role Overview This Senior Business Analyst role focuses on driving supply chain optimisation and AI-enabled forecasting initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering enterprise solutions that enhance replenishment accuracy, streamline operations, and support digital transformation within a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead discovery phases, contributing to business cases, high-level designs, and requirements.
  • Plan and strategise business analysis activities across multiple projects.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder sessions with executives, business teams, technical specialists, and vendors.
  • Conduct impact assessments and document requirements (BRDs, Epics, Features, User Stories with acceptance criteria).
  • Map and analyse as-is and to-be processes, identifying gaps and driving improvements.
  • Manage UAT and testing cycles, ensuring quality delivery.
  • Provide training, BAU support, and ongoing stakeholder engagement.
  • Work with data, integrations, and interfaces to support solution design and delivery.

Experience & Competencies

  • Minimum 7 years' experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Strong retail and supply chain background, with expertise in forecasting and replenishment.
  • Exposure to AI forecasting and replenishment systems (Relex experience advantageous).
  • Pharmaceutical sector experience beneficial.
  • Skilled in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.

Project Context This role supports an AI Forecasting and Replenishment programme, leveraging advanced technologies to improve operational efficiency and customer service.
