SUMMARY

Seeking a skilled and reliable Trade Tested Fitter to join their workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair, refurbishment, assembly and installation of pumps and related equipment, while also assisting with complete turnkey projects tailored to client requirements.

POSITION INFO

This is a hands-on position requiring both workshop-based and on-site work. Experience within the pump industry is highly advantageous, and a basic understanding of electrical systems would be beneficial. Key Responsibilities Repair, service and refurbish a variety of pumps and associated equipment. Assemble, install and commission pumps and pumping systems. Assist with complete turnkey pump projects from assembly through to installation. Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently. Perform preventative maintenance on pumps and rotating equipment. Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within project deadlines. Maintain a safe and organised work environment. Attend customer sites when required for installations, repairs and maintenance. Work overtime when operational requirements demand. Minimum Requirements Qualified Trade Tested Fitter (essential). Previous experience repairing and assembling pumps or rotating equipment will be highly advantageous. Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or pump environment. Sound mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of electrical systems would be advantageous. Valid South African driver''s licence. Own reliable transport to and from work. Willingness to travel to customer sites and work overtime when required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills and a strong work ethic.
