SUMMARY

Civil & Structural Engineer

• Technical Expertise - carries out technical design work to a high standard. Has a sound working knowledge of civil/structural engineering applications and techniques relevant to the project environment.
• 3+ years relevant post graduate experience
• Participates as a member of the civil engineering team on all company projects.
• May perform the function of Lead Civil Engineer on smaller projects, under the guidance of Senior or Principal Civil Engineer.

POSITION INFO

Responsibilities Performs engineering design calculations and prepares design sketches as required on assigned projects. Assists the civil designers in the preparation of civil and structural drawings. Reviews, and comments on civil and structural drawings under the guidance his/her supervising engineer. Reviews and comments on supplier documents and other discipline drawings under the guidance his/her supervising engineer. Attends progress meetings and assists in the preparation of project progress reports on behalf of his/her supervising engineer. Advises his/her supervising engineer of any slippages and their causes and proposed corrective action. Advises his/her supervising engineer of any technical problems and unresolved differences with other groups. Assists in the preparation of contract requisitions and schedules of quantity for civil and structural work on assigned projects. Liaises with construction personnel and addresses site queries during construction under the guidance his/her supervising engineer. Qualifications BSc (Civil Engineering) / BEng (Civil) Email
