Vish Services (Pty) Ltd is looking for an only SACPCMP Professionally registered Construction Project Manager to oversee various of our projects on a 2 year renewable contract. To be the first point-of-call for Project Management on the project. The candidate should excel in teamwork, be highly organised and able to define the project scope.

Role Description

This is a full-time, office-based Construction Project Manager role located in Sandton. The Professional Construction Project Manager will be responsible for tasks such as utilizing analytical skills, communication, mechanical engineering knowledge, computer-aided design (CAD), and project management.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for water retention and roads infrastructure projects
• Oversee all phases of construction from initiation through to handover and close-out
• Manage procurement processes, subcontractor appointments, and resource allocation
• Implement and monitor project controls, including cost reporting, progress tracking, and risk management
• Ensure technical compliance with design specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements
• Review and approve technical drawings, method statements, and quality assurance plans
• Conduct site inspections and resolve technical challenges related to earthworks, pavement construction, drainage systems, dams, reservoirs, and water treatment infrastructure
• Manage client relationships, consultant teams, and regulatory bodies
• Administer JBCC contracts
• Administer FIDIC or NEC-based construction contracts
• Chair progress meetings, prepare reports and present to steering committees
• Ensure compliance with environmental authorisations and water use licenses

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications

• Professional registration with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Project Manager and not CANDIDATE
• BSc/BEng/BTech in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
• Minimum of 3 years' post-professional registration experience.
• Extensive experience within the civil engineering construction environment.
• Proven track record managing water infrastructure and dam construction projects.
• Experience with reinforced concrete and earthworks will be highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience on construction projects valued at over R5 million and above.
• Knowledge of JBCC contracts
• Sound knowledge of FIDIC, GCC, NEC, PFMA, FIDPM and other relevant construction legislation.
