SUMMARY
Leading Financial Services company seeks a smart, dynamic and ambitious Investment Analyst with approx. 3-5 years relevant experience to join their professional team, and work closely with the divisional executive in their specialised credit area.

Minimum requirements: Completed Bachelor Business Science / Honours (Finance / Investment / Actuarial / Maths) or similar. CA(SA) or CFA added advantage Approximately 3-5 years' experience in a financial analysis, analytics, or corporate finance environment Technically proficient with strong financial modelling and analytical skills Strong business writing and corporate communication ability Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and the ability to collaborate effectively Good interpersonal skills and strong EQ with ability to work and communicate with executive management Strong sense of urgency and proven capability to work within a fast-paced environment Work within multiple teams to achieve goals and objectives of the organisation and clients You will be required to: Manage the investment process related to all prospective transactions and business opportunities including inter alia engaging with clients to obtain data and information, liaising with the internal group analytics teams regarding process and methodologies Effective engagement with clients in respect of the required transaction data and information to evaluate investment opportunities Complex financial modelling and analysis to prepare and present investment cases to the investment committee Develop, improve functionality and maintain accuracy of financial models underpinning the investment case for each transaction opportunity Conduct financial and statistical analysis and review of transactions with the view to identifying new business opportunities and developing new return / investment evaluation metrics Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and business divisions to effectively manage client requirements and execution Assist with the preparation of client presentations Maintain a thorough understanding of the impact of accounting policies.
