C Programmer

A Durban-based technology environment is seeking an experienced C Programmer to join their team. This role is primarily office-based in Durban, with some flexibility offered due to the niche nature of the skill set. The ideal candidate will be a strong problem solver with solid C programming experience and the ability to work effectively in a focused development environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimise applications using the C programming language
• Work on system-level code, performance improvements, and debugging of existing software
• Collaborate with technical teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable solution
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving production and development issues
• Contribute to code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards
• Support continuous improvement of systems and technical processes

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in C programming
• Experience working on system-level or backend development
• Solid problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently and deliver under minimal supervision
• Experience in a technical or engineering environment advantageous
• Based in or willing to work full-time in Durban (office-based role)
