Code 14 Truck Driver(Durban/ Temporary)

The ideal candidate will possess a valid Code 14 driver’s license and have extensive experience operating heavy trucks.

• Safely operate heavy motor vehicles, including trucks and trailers, ensuring all legal and safety requirements are met.
• Deliver goods and materials to specified destinations as scheduled, maintaining timely and accurate delivery.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle before and after trips. Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the maintenance team promptly.
• Ensure that goods are correctly loaded and secured to prevent damage during transit. Assist with the loading and unloading process as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, delivery times, and any incidents or delays encountered during trips.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company regulations, including road safety and environmental policies.
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing any delivery-related issues or concerns professionally.
• Ensure all necessary delivery documents, including waybills and invoices, are completed accurately and submitted as required.

• Matric
• Valid Code 14 driver's license and PdP
• 6 + years of experience as a Code 14 Driver
• Candidate must have basic knowledge and be able to hook and unhook trailers from and to a horse
• Candidate must have strong attention to detail and safety
• Excellent driving skills and knowledge of road safety regulations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and navigation skills
• Physical ability to lift and move cargo (if required).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team.
