Junior Electrical Software Engineer or Computer Engineer required for a position in Parktown North. BEng (Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering) with a keen interest in Electrical Engineering. 1 - 2 years of working experience required.

Junior Electrical Software Engineer/Computer Engineer

Parktown North

You will be responsible for developing, testing, and implementing software solutions in the field of electrical engineering.

Minimum requirements:

  • BEng (Electronic Engineering) or Computer Engineering
  • Experience in C or C++ (NOT C#)
  • 1-2 years experience required after graduation
  • Experience in Linux
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to clearly communicate with all levels and clients

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software electrical engineering solutions for existing and new products.
  • Design, troubleshoot, and debug engineering software challenges.
  • System design and architecture
  • Linux only (no Windows or MAC)
  • C++ mostly hardware-level interface
  • SQL databases (mostly MySQL)
  • Basic web interfaces (mostly PHP & JavaScript)
  • Reading electronic and electrical diagrams/schematics
  • Working with electronic engineers on designs
