Senior Process Engineer

A consulting engineering client in the Mining, Petrochemical and FMCG sectors is looking for a strong Process Engineer with the ability to step into a Lead Engineering role and be part of their Team.

The succesful candidate with be involved and will assist with Process design on projects including :

• Reviewing of client’s specifications

o Mass & Energy balance

o PFD’s

o PID’s

o Equipment list

o Line, Valve & Instrument lists

o Vessel datasheets – updated for contract

o Datasheets for rotating equipment – updated for contract

o Process description

o Development of control narrative

o Operating manual

o Other documentation required on the contract

o Assistance with revalidation of Costing of Mechanical Equipment

• Assistance with the review of vessel fabrication drawings
• Assistance with the review of plot Plan
• Assistance with the review of plant mechanical GA’s
• Assistance with the layout of plant piping – input to draughtspersons.\

Also involvement with project activities ;

• Including project engineering activities as required by the project schedule and scope of work.
• Involvement with commissioning activities
• Assistance with the development of the commissioning plan
• Checking out plant against P&ID's

At least 3 - 7 years experience required as a Process Engineer in an Engineering environment working with mining and mineral processing projects.

A B.Eng or BSc Chemical or Metallurgical Qualification would be essential.

Annual Bonus paid at the end of the year, Plus Annual Salary Reviews

Salary Highly Negotiable, up to R 1.200 000 CTC Per Annum
