Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of municipal water infrastructure projects. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated engineering professional with strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record of managing complex civil engineering projects from planning through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of water infrastructure projects from initiation to close-out.
  • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and delivery plans.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and site personnel.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards, engineering specifications, and client requirements.
  • Oversee contract administration in accordance with FIDIC, NEC, or GCC contracts.
  • Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and change management.
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, municipalities, and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare project reports, facilitate meetings, and oversee project handovers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Professional registration as Pr CPM with SACPCMP will be advantageous.
  • 5–10 years' experience within civil or water infrastructure projects.
  • 3–5 years' experience in a project management capacity.
  • Experience delivering municipal water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, and treatment works.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, budgeting, scheduling, and contract management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
