MID LEVEL BI ANALYST
The BI Analyst is responsible for translating data into meaningful insights that support business decision-making. The role involves working across the full BI lifecycle, including requirements gathering, data modelling, report development, and ongoing optimisation of reporting solutions.
This role requires a strong balance between technical capability and business engagement, with a focus on delivering reliable, high-quality insights to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Tertiary qualification (degree, diploma, or certificate) in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, IT, Informatics, or Data Analytics)
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- 4+ years’ experience as a BI Analyst, Database Developer, or similar role
- Solid understanding of database design and data analytics (preferably Power BI)
At least 3+ years’ experience in most of the below tools/technologies:
- Power BI and/or Tableau
- MS SQL
- SSRS, SSIS, SSAS
- Exposure to Big Data tools (e.g., Hive, Spark, etc.)
- Exposure to predictive analytics tools (e.g., Python, R, Alteryx)
- Data warehousing, data consolidation, and reporting
Key Responsibilities
- Perform data analysis, modelling, and reporting
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions
- Gather and interpret business requirements
- Prepare and present analytical insights to stakeholders
- Maintain and enhance database structures and data integrity
- Design and optimise data models for reporting purposes
- Document technical specifications and processes
- Support users with data and reporting-related queries
- Perform data mapping and transformation activities
- Research and recommend appropriate technologies and solutions
- Support migration of client solutions to new BI platforms
- Build strong working relationships with business stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements where needed
