M&A Associate (Metals & Mining Sector)

We have an amazing opportunity for an M&A Associate (Metals & Mining Sector at a company based in Johannesburg! The main purpose of this role is:

• to originate and execute complex M&A and private capital transactions (including equity, debt, royalty, and streaming finance) across South Africa and the broader African continent, focusing heavily on the Metals, Mining, and Energy sectors.

We require a candidate with:

• A minimum of 3 years of dedicated M&A experience within an investment bank, private equity firm, or top-tier corporate finance environment.
• Significant, hands-on transaction experience within the Metals & Mining sector (mining services and energy exposure is highly advantageous).
• A proven track record of business origination, building corporate client/investor relationships, and securing new advisory mandates.
• Strong technical capabilities across financial analysis, complex valuation, and transaction structuring.
• End-to-end deal management experience, from preparing pitch materials and teasers to leading negotiations and closing transactions.
